Stan Ferguson, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist, has consulted with and trained many parents through his private practice in Dallas, Texas. He is a frequent lecturer and consultant for educational and community organizations on themes related to children, and has presented his parenting ideas on radio and television. He served as consulting pyschotherapist for the Pediatric Diabetes Center of North Texas at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano, where he helped children and their parents adjust to chronic illness in the family.
